Coupeville Library Expansion -- Week 19

The Library is moving rapidly into the "finishing" stage and each week sees exciting new changes. External siding is nearly complete, the floor has been sealed, some floor tile and wall tile in the bathrooms has already been installed, the book drops have been installed, and the fireplace has been installed. Some cabinets will arrive next week. Below are some recent photos showing the progress.

Siding of the south side of the Library has been completed. Finishing touches remain to be done.

This photo shows some of the new tile being installed in one of the bathrooms.

Floor tile has been installed in the entry from the rear of the building. The tile are about 4 inch by 12 inch in size and seem perfect for this entry.

The book drops have been installed. Only the trim remains to be completed.

The fireplace was installed last week. It is located in the adult reading room.

These curved panels will form the ceiling in the adult reading room. They will not only be impressive in appearance but will also provide acoustical sound deadening in the room.

Darren and Ken keep the project moving. They ALWAYS have the answer to our questions and organize the activities each week. They are our contacts with Faber Construction.
