GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY

On July 11, 2009, a large group of library supporters congregated just west of the Coupeville Library for the Library Expansion ground breaking ceremony. It was estimated that nearly 100 people attended the ceremony. It was an enthusiastic crowd with everyone excited that the expansion project was finally underway. The weather was perfect and many attendees brought their own shovels to personally participate in the ground breaking. Following is a pictorial view of the festivities.

Moving the Friends Book Storage Shed

COUPEVILLE LIBRARY EXPANSION PROJECT

On June 26, 2009, the first phase of the Coupeville Library Expansion project began with the moving of the Friends of Library used book storage shed to make room for the expansion construction. Following the move, the Friends will continue book sales at a new location just west of the library in the open field used by the Farmers Market. The Friends will be selling used books on Saturday's during the Farmer's Market. Stop by and find bargains while supporting the Friends and the Coupeville Library!
